Because of this, boating is a significant part of the town's economy. Tydings Park is host to numerous festivals throughout the year as well as providing a marina for area residents. The town may be best known for decoy carving, which has evolved over the years from a utilitarian skill to art. The Havre de Grace Decoy Museum has many examples of these carvings on display, and the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum displays the maritime history of the town and region.
